Now Hiring: Construction Project Manager

PCI is looking for a Construction Project Manager to join our growing operation. Applicants must have extensive experience with residential construction project management, leadership, construction management software, and Microsoft Office. We are seeking a highly motivated, conscientious, organized individual with a positive attitude. Candidates must possess the communication, literacy, and computer skills necessary to effectively manage residential construction projects in today's rapidly evolving business environment.

Provost Companies Inc. (PCI) is a design-build-maintenance firm that has proudly served the MetroWest and South Shore areas of Massachusetts for over 18 years. We specialize in the complete evolution of real estate development projects, including design, construction, and post-construction maintenance. Our residential construction division focuses on high-end new construction, home additions, and major renovations.

Essential Responsibilities & Expectations

You will be expected to successfully manage a portfolio of at least $2.5 million in annual residential construction revenue. Responsibilities include:

  1. Drive overall project success by completing projects on time, on budget, and to PCI's quality standards.
  2. Support the estimating team by reviewing estimates and proposals for new construction projects in accordance with company procedures.
  3. Manage all pre-construction activities, including processing approved proposals and contracts, permitting, site staging agreements, material submittals and procurement, underground utility compliance, scheduling, documentation, and communication with clients and production staff.
  4. Assume full ownership of day-to-day project execution by overseeing construction operations, maintaining exceptional customer service, achieving financial goals, coordinating superintendents, field crews, and subcontractors, approving timesheets, updating schedules, and maintaining thorough project documentation.
  5. Manage project budgets, including invoicing, job costing, material expenditures, expense approvals, classifications, and cash flow projections.
  6. Manage plans and specifications, ensuring all project documentation remains current and accurate.
  7. Oversee material management, including submittals, procurement, and cost control.
  8. Estimate and manage all project change orders.
  9. Ensure client expectations are clearly understood, met, and exceeded while resolving any issues promptly.
  10. Maintain proactive client communication through weekly updates, meeting recaps, phone calls, text messages, emails, and project documentation.
  11. Protect PCI's premium brand image by ensuring quality workmanship, proper uniforms and safety equipment, and maintaining clean, professional equipment, trucks, and trailers.
  12. Maintain organized, clean, and professional job sites.
  13. Enforce and manage all job site safety standards.
  14. Work directly with the CEO, CFO, and management team to uphold company standards and help grow the business.
  15. Mentor and develop team members by helping establish career paths, setting goals, and encouraging professional growth.

Position Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL)
  • Minimum of five years of residential construction project management experience
  • Proficiency with computers, iPads, and smartphones, including email, text messaging, construction estimating software, timekeeping software, file management software, and Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated, intelligent, conscientious, and highly organized
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary of $100,000–$150,000+, based on experience, productivity, and capabilities
