0434: New Deck Construction – Stoughton, MA

Project 0434 was a new deck construction project completed in Stoughton, MA. 0434 entailed a complete deck tear down and rebuild. The existing deck was poorly constructed and failing at multiple points. PCI was contracted to design and build an outdoor living area with a program consisting of an outdoor kitchen, dining and living space. The finished product also needed to stand up to heavy traffic from three incredible dogs.

The dining room was sized accordingly and features an eight person dining table with ample circulation space. The cooking space was designed for grilling. Featuring exquisite masonry, a 42” Lynx professional series natural gas grill, trash receptacle, ample storage and a refrigeration unit, you won’t find anyone complaining about grilling here. The living space is centered around a natural gas fire pit, taking the edge off those brisk early spring and late fall nights.

Due to the sun exposure, dog traffic and nature of the investment, we chose AZEK Timbertech decking. It stays cooler, stands up to the abuse, has an unrivaled 50 year warranty, and looks incredible. We paired it with Timbertech’s composite railing system and capped it off with a drink rail. To facilitate safety, functionality, and night time ambience, we installed low voltage lighting throughout the space. Needless to say, this is one incredible deck.
